For the Public
“What Everyone Should Know About Lyme Disease” provides a general overview of Lyme disease and its related topics. To inform more of the public, ask your local cable public access station to play the DVD "What Everybody Should Know About Lyme Disease" as part of their programming. Let them know Lyme is a big problem in your area. Most of these stations are starved for programming and they have (Dr. Elizabeth Maloney’s) permission to play it, unaltered, as often as they like. If they agree, (our) group could give them a copy. If they have more questions they can contact (Dr. Elizabeth Maloney) via this email address md@phhmd.com

 For Libraries around the State
Lessons in Lyme is an educational series on Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses. Each segment reviews a different topic in detail. Written by Dr. Elizabeth Maloney, the series discusses basic scientific concepts in everyday language, giving viewers an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of Lyme disease. Individual segments are complete on their own. Combining segments allows viewers to apply the knowledge gained from one topic to others. Doing this leads to a greater understanding of individual topics and a fuller view of Lyme disease.

“Borrelia burgdorferi - A Brilliant Bacterium” gives viewers an in-depth look at the bacterial cause of Lyme disease. “Preventing Lyme Disease” reviews the steady increase in reported cases of Lyme disease and the disease itself. “What Everyone Should Know About Lyme Disease” provides a general overview of Lyme disease and its related topics.  To inform more of the public, ask your local cable public access station to play the DVD "What Everybody Should Know About Lyme Disease" as part of their programming. Group Presentations
Illinois Department of Public Health • Illinois Department of Public Schools PHH offers in-person presentations on tick-borne diseases, tailoring the content to meet the needs of your organization. For example, Dr. Maloney provided training on Lyme disease prevention which included details specific to the private and governmental organizations requesting those services. Live presentations also give participants an opportunity to ask the questions that are important to them. Accredited, "live" continuing medical education courses for healthcare professionals are also available. Physician CME courses range from 1-hour offerings on a specific topic to multi-hour presentations covering details from the basic science and clinical evidence. Similar courses are available for nurses and chiropractors. PHH will work with other professional healthcare organizations to create programs of interest for their members. Please contact Elizabeth Maloney via this email address md@phhmd.com if you are interested in scheduling a presentation.
